I am an aspiring actress who is having trouble getting an agent because of my size. Now, it’s not like I am huge or anything but neither am I a near anorexic little thing who barely weighs 100lbs soaking wet. I need to find a happy middle, somewhere I am thin enough to get an agent and auditions but not so thin I am sick. Does that place even exist? I am going to find out! I hope to be the Amazing Shrinking Woman! This blog will hold me accountable for my actions ie. what I stuff in my face and what exercise I don’t do. It is my hope writing out what I go thru in my attempt to lose weight will help keep me focused and on track…keep your fingers crossed for me!
Quick sidenote: when I started this blog the weight watchers program I was on was the “current program” but the program has changed since then and I am now using the “old program”. I didn’t switch to the new Points Plus program so if you are on that program you will notice my daily points and how I calculate points for my food is different from yours – sorry for any confusion this may cause!
Yet another sidenote: I have stopped using the Weight Watcher’s program and am now following a low carb diet and more structured exercise plan that has been created by someone I know who knows waaaaay more about health and fitness then I ever will lol. His blog is here: http://if0you0dont0know0then0you0dont0know.wordpress.com/

Hi, Shrinking Woman,
I’m writing you today to ask if you would share info about my doctoral dissertation with your network through email or a blog post. I’m looking for volunteers to take a survey on partner undermining of weight loss (I only need 15 more people for this round of recruiting!)
While it’s hard losing weight on your own, it’s not necessarily easier with a spouse or partner. Sometimes partners/spouses undermine weight loss through acts like complaining about healthier food, gifting high-caloric foods, or even through abusive language/acts. I’m creating an anonymous, online survey to assess for partner undermining and to learn more from those who experience it.
To be eligible to take the survey, participants need to have experienced this in their current relationship (of at least the past 2 years), and have been participating in a weight loss program for the past 5 consecutive weeks. For more info, see http://tinyurl.com/Clark-Study. Participants who complete the survey may opt to enter a drawing for $100.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Amanda
